Ramkrish Palace in Chrompet, Chennai, was the perfect setting for the traditional South Indian weddings photography in Chennai we had the honor of capturing on camera. As professional photographers, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to document the day’s events and create lasting memories for the happy couple, with our unique approach to candid wedding photography.
A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our South Indian Weddings Photography Process
On the day of the shoot, our first priority was to capture stunning portraits of the bride and groom, as well as their planned dance entry. We began with the bridal shoot, offering suggestions for poses and capturing some incredible shots. We then moved on to the groom, who was also the choreographer for the event. With six songs planned for the couple’s entry, we were excited to capture every moment on camera.
For the groom’s portraits, we used a 35 mm Macro STM lens with both daylight and artificial light. Though this lens is not typically used for portrait photography, it allowed us to capture full or half-body shots that emphasized the groom’s height. We also took some amazing shots of the groom’s brother, who was thrilled with the results.
With some extra time on our hands, we took advantage of the opportunity to capture additional shots using just one light, using a Kodak AD 600 Pro and an 80 cm Octa box. As the reception drew to a close, we captured some stunning shots with the chandeliers turned on.
Here’s How We Captured the Special Moments of the Day
On the second day, we arrived bright and early at 4:50 am to capture the traditional South Indian weddings photography in Chennai. We spent around 30 to 45 minutes taking some incredible shots of the bride and groom getting ready. Using two cameras – a Canon R5 with a 50mm f 1.2 and a 7D Mark II with an 18-35mm lens – we were able to quickly capture some great moments as the day unfolded.
Throughout the wedding rituals, we captured every moment with a 50mm lens, creating stunning images that truly captured the essence of South Indian professional wedding photography services in Chennai. From shots of the couple with chandeliers to high-key shots with window lights and dining hall shots, we were thrilled with the final product.
After packing up our equipment, we compiled the footage into a vlog for our YouTube channel, showcasing the entire wedding from start to finish. It was a truly fantastic experience, and we were honored to have the opportunity to capture such special moments for the happy couple.
