It’s a TamBrahm Gounder Wedding at Erode | SARANYA + MAHESHWAR

India is a land of diverse culture. Especially in Tamil Nadu, we can witness a lot of communities. Markedly, each of them has its own dignity. It’s a delightful ecstasy when two major communities join together as a family. This bond is made possible by the splendid act of love. The dazzling duo Saranya and Mahesh’s wedding is an inter-caste Brahmin and Gounder mix. Owing to our love towards Brahmin rituals, we posted a dedicated article on “Brahmin wedding rituals explained in Detail”. To put it differently, we would like to add some words about Gounder Community. Gounders are known as the descendants of warriors. They fought for the Chola and Chera kingdom in South India. In the later years, their interest in the agricultural development has earned them the name Kongu Vellala Gounders. The community is also called by other names, which include Nattu Gounders, Kattu Gounders, Narambu katti Gounders, Senthalai Gounders, Padathalai Gounders and Irumudi Gounders. As a matter of fact, we would like to add another name in Tamil called “Veera Parambarai”. The inter-caste wedding between Brahmins and Gounders happen once in a blue moon. To emphasize, Saranya and Mahesh’s wedding is a pure joyous experience for us. It was our first shoot cover of Brahmin+Gounder wedding. We were super excited when we come to know this and the level of excitement never drained till the end of the event. We bagged all our top gears and dashed to Erode, Tamil Nadu. The event lasted three beautiful days and it started with Mehandhi. Saranya’s face was filled with smile while teasing and conversing with her bride squad. Bride welcoming was in Gounder Style and Groom welcoming was in Brahmin Style. To sum up, we witnessed two styles of wedding on one stage. How blissful it was! Out of all Brahmin wedding rituals, garland exchange and Kasiyatra are the most amusing one. It was so different for Saranya’s family and they tremendously enjoyed it. Every face in the crowd had a big cute curve of smile and laughter. Oonjal was completely Brahminish and Saranya’s family soulfully participated in it. We composed this music dedicated for Saranya and Maheswar. It surpluses the exhilaration of the wedding film. It was a high spirited and cheerful experience for us. Altogether, Focuz Studios team is proud that we recorded these euphoric moments. Watch it till the end and wish them love and luck in the comments below!
