We are familiar with inter-state weddings. Chetan Bhagat’s ‘2 States’ was all about the drama in getting two interstate couples hitched. But how familiar are we with cross-country weddings? And how much fun would it be when a culture completely, unadulteratedly different from yours opens out in front of you? Richard and Ines are lucky like that. Because hey, love stories are the same, just about everywhere. 🙂
Wedding happened in Madurai, a big town in Southern Tamil Nadu, famed for it’s Meenakshi Amman Temple and Jigarthanda. Ines is from Portugal, whose sailors went and colonized countries, and whose land is the cradle of European civilization. They bumped into each other in London, fell in love, and the rest as they say, is history.
At Focuz Studios here, we loved shooting for this Christian Wedding Photography because it was the first of it’s kind. We could write paragraphs, and paragraphs about how interesting it was for us to shoot their wedding, but a photo essay would be better, eh?
