As soon as the groom’s family arrived at the wedding venue, they were showered with flower petals by relatives and well-wishers, while the bride’s family underwent a similar celebration upon arrival at their hotel in Radisson Blu Chennai, India.
Brahmin Wedding Baraat
The baraat event is celebrated with a lot of fanfare and with crackers that are burst for the couple, known as lob-Choon. The bridegroom leaves his house for another one for his marriage. Traditional drums called dholki accompany some of these events, especially within Tamil communities.
