Lavanya and Rajeev’s Wedding ceremonies started at the wee hours in the morning. We were wondering how it was going to be possible for the bride and the groom to gear themselves up with the wedding alankaar that early, but they proved us wrong, and laughed at our assumption with a rockstar attitude, we had to take the bait (just kidding!) This was a typical Tamil Brahmin Wedding Film. Lots of flowers, Carnatic music, and Lots of Maamis. Oh wait, Lots and lots and lots of Filter kaapi Tumblers. Yes, the wedding smelled of Mylapore, and Madisars, and our camera went bonkers trying to capture all the tradition. This was one cultural wedding that we shot with much sincerity (as always), and awe. We particularly enjoyed the ‘Pacha pudi rolling event’ that was part of the Oonjal. It was so adorable and seemed as if Madisar maamis were happily competing in a Javelin throw event (If they become State Level Players, they are sure to hit jackpot).
